Putting on a "show" of normality is common to many people, particularly those who have experienced Mental Health issues.  It seems like there is a constant desire - or need -  to portray a positive lifestyle, even when that may be far from true.

These are some of my experiences - my reality of being affected by depression and anxiety - things which I wish I'd read or heard about when at my worst, just to feel like I wasn't alone.

Writing has always been a form of self-expression for me, and a great source of therapy, and because of my love of theatre and performance (another creative outlet), I hoped that sharing some of the things that I'd previously left on the cutting room floor, will give some insight into how I manage my mental and emotional wellbeing, and the reality of living with mental health issues.
